Skyline Chestnuts

Skyline Chestnuts

The 2018 season kicks off Saturday, October 13.

The crop is coming in late this year. Ripe chestnuts have barely begun to fall from the trees. You may want to wait a week or two before coming up the orchard. Please check our Facebook page for up-to-date info on the crop and the weather.

Best Time to Visit

The chestnuts begin to fall in early October. The season lasts as long as the chestnuts keep dropping, usually 4-5 weeks. Normally, the crop is at its peak and the chestnuts are easiest to gather around the third weekend of October.

Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30am to 4:30pm.

It's best to arrive early in the day. Many chestnuts fall overnight, so they are abundant on the ground in the morning. By late afternoon, the orchard can get picked over, especially on Sundays.

The Skyline Chestnuts orchard is atop the mountain above Palo Alto, CA. Find us on Skyline Blvd, 10 miles south of the crossroad of Skyline Blvd and Woodside Rd (Hwy 84). More directions are here: (directions & map)
